Responsible gambling
Gambling should be a cost you choose, like a ticket — money spent on entertainment, at a price you set in advance. This page covers the tools that exist at the casinos we list, their current limits in Ireland, and where to get help.
Set the limits first
The controls below exist at most online casinos, including the offshore-licensed brands we review. Set them when you register, because every one of them is harder to set mid-session:
- Deposit limits — cap how much you can pay in per day, week or month.
- Loss limits — stop play automatically once losses reach a figure you choose.
- Session reminders and time limits — a prompt, or a hard stop, after a set period of play.
- Cool-off — a short, timed break from your account, from 24 hours upward.
- Self-exclusion — a longer block on your account. At the casinos we list this is arranged per operator, for example by email or through customer support.
The Irish position right now
Ireland's National Gambling Exclusion Register is being built by the GRAI and is not live yet. When it opens, it is expected to let you exclude yourself from all licensed operators at once. Until then there is no single switch: you must self-exclude at each casino separately, and each operator's own tools are the protection you actually have. The brands reviewed on this site are licensed in Estonia, Curaçao or Anjouan, not in Ireland, so their limits and exclusion tools are the ones that apply to your account.
Warning signs
Gambling has stopped being entertainment if you recognise any of these: spending more than you planned or more than you can afford; chasing losses by depositing again to win money back; hiding gambling from people close to you; borrowing to gamble; gambling affecting work, sleep or relationships; or being unable to stop despite deciding to. Any one of them is a reason to use the help below, not a reason to wait.

You do not need to be in crisis to call. Asking how the tools work, or asking someone to talk through your gambling, is enough.
Gambling is strictly for over-18s. Never gamble with money needed for rent, bills or essentials, and never borrow to gamble.
